I am a writer, artist, and educator skilled in various prose types, including short and long-form fiction, professional nonfiction, and scripts for stage and screen. My multidisciplinary background has proven to be a boon to my creative process and has yielded work underpinned by the fanciful, arcane, and historical. I specialize in crafting character-driven stories and richly defined worlds. They have been described as evocative, humorous, and inspirational. Though I especially love giving readers the opportunity to explore the lighter aspects of life, I also embrace challenging subjects.

I was born on a sunny summer day in New Orleans, Louisiana. Since that time, I have known several other homes — the current one being Washington, DC.
